On June 10th, 2023, the High-Quality Development of Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education and New Business Education Talent Cultivation Summit, along with the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Market Marketing Sino-US Cooperative Program at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE), was held at the Xiasha Campus of ZUFE in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The conference invited experts and scholars from dozens of universities such as Renmin University of China and Nankai University, with the aim of exploring the latest developments in Sino-Foreign cooperative education and the cutting-edge concepts and practices of talent cultivation in the field of new business education. The event provided a broad platform for academic exchanges. Wang Hualu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Business Administration (SBA), Associate Professor Sun Hongqing, and Jiang Qianqian, a teacher of the Graduate Student Affairs Office participated in this conference.
Party Secretary Wang Hualu delivered a speech at the conference. She first expressed warm congratulations and sincere wishes for the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Sino-US Cooperative Program in Marketing at ZUFE. She then affirmed the achievements of SBA at ZUFE in implementing the fundamental task of cultivating students with high moral character, highlighting the characteristics of finance, economics, and management disciplines, and adhering to the path of internationalization and educational openness. Party Secretary Wang also introduced the faculty structure, institutional setup, educational philosophy, distinctive features of talent cultivation, and internationalization efforts of SBA.
During the session of the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education High-Quality Development and New Business Education Talent Cultivation Summit held in afternoon, Party Secretary Wang presided over the speech by Professor Wang Zongjun from Huazhong University of Science and Technology titled “Reflections on Cultivating Outstanding Talents in Business Schools under the Background of New Business Education.”
Associate Professor Sun Hongqing, the director of SBA’s New Media Marketing Research Center, was invited to deliver a keynote speech titled “The New Model and Implementation Path for Talent Cultivation in the New Business Education Based on Metaverse Marketing Officers in the Era of New Media”. He systematically elaborated on the innovative model of talent cultivation in the field of new business education under the backdrop of new media, including the underlying methodology and implementation approach of people-product-field, as well as the cultivation path and corresponding 16-word implementation methodology. He showcased the impressive achievements and works of the new business talents trained through the innovative platform of the “Metaverse Marketing Officer” created by our university’s New Media Marketing Research Center in recent years. His presentation, in a highly engaging style of new media marketing, provided logical and evidence-based sharing to professionals from various sectors, leaving a profound impression and receiving high praise from experts and scholars both online and offline.
Through this summit, our university fully demonstrated the achievements and charm of its nationally leading programs in new media marketing, further enhancing the influence of our marketing discipline nationwide. It also provided valuable experience for SBA to further improve the quality and effectiveness of cooperative education, and to cultivate more business talents with international perspectives and innovative capabilities.
